Formula Used

m = 7.86 ÷ 1000 × [2 × t × (A + B − 2t) − 0.86 × r²] (kg/m)

A, B: sides (mm), t: wall thickness (mm), r: corner radius (mm). Steel density is taken as 7.86 g/cm³. If r is omitted, sharp corners (r = 0) are assumed.

Production Tolerance

Per EN 10219-2, welded box sections carry a wall-thickness tolerance of ±10 % and a side-length tolerance of ±1 %. A 3 % waste allowance is sufficient when sizing orders.

Coating Options

Konak Tel Çit box sections can be hot-dip galvanised (40–80 µm), electro-galvanised or electrostatic powder coated. Rich coating options directly extend field life.
