POST & CLAMP CALCULATOR

Pull the parcel from TKGM or key in perimeter + corner count manually; the tool breaks down standard clamps, reflex (concave) brackets, diagonal braces and waste allowance from the actual corner types — before anyone walks the site.

How to enter the parcel?

Automatic geometry from province / district / neighborhood / ada / parsel.

Product type

Inputs

Centre-to-centre distance between two adjacent posts. 2.5 m is standard for panel, 3.0 m for chain-link.

Post-spacing reference

Spacing ↔ post ↔ panel pairings distilled from field practice. Reduce spacing by 0.5 m on wind-exposed or sloped terrain.

Formula
N_corner = parcel corner count
N_mid    = Σ ceil(edge_i / spacing − 1)
N_gate   = 2 · gate_count
N_posts  = N_corner + N_mid + N_gate

Clamps:
  standard = right + obtuse corners × 1
  reflex   = reflex corners × 2
  acute    = acute corners × 1
  mid      = (N_posts − N_corner − N_gate) × 2
  tee      = N_gate × 2
  brace    = edges over 4 m × 1

Corner-type breakdown comes from the shape-analysis module. If no TKGM geometry is available, every corner is assumed to be a right angle.
